The Challenge

Salads UP needed to win local search in two competitive US college-town food markets: Ann Arbor, Michigan and Madison, Wisconsin. The site was new to SEO, most target keywords sat outside the first page, and the brand was not showing in Google’s Local Pack. The goal was direct: own the “salads”, “healthy salads” and “salad restaurant” searches in these cities, earn map-pack visibility, and turn local search into a steady stream of qualified orders.

Our Approach

We built a combined local and technical SEO program. First we mapped the full local keyword universe for Ann Arbor, Madison, Michigan and Wisconsin, then rebuilt on-page targeting (titles, meta descriptions, headings and image ALT text) around those terms. On the technical side we cleared every crawl error, corrected the URL and canonical setup, prepared the site for mobile-first indexing, and pushed all pages to full indexation. We added schema.org structured data for the Organization and WebSite, which earned Google Sitelinks for the brand, and optimized the Google Business Profile to drive Local Pack visibility. Monthly rank tracking and Search Console reporting kept the program accountable.
