Saudi Arabia

The English and Arabic results pages here return almost separate sets of agencies.

That gap is the whole opportunity. Most agencies compete in the English results while a large share of Saudi buyers search in Arabic and find nobody credible.

The two-SERP problem

Run your head term in English and in Arabic and compare the agencies that appear. In our checks the overlap is small. That is unusual enough to be worth planning around.

The English SERP in Saudi Arabia is crowded with regional agencies competing on the same terms. The Arabic one is thinner, and a large share of the actual buying market is searching there. Most agencies either have no Arabic pages, or have machine-translated versions that a native speaker recognizes immediately as translated.

What that means practically

Gulf Arabic, not translated Arabic. The terms differ from Egyptian Arabic in exactly the commercial queries you care about. Building one Arabic keyword list for the whole region and calling it done is the most common structural error we inherit.

Verification before contact. Saudi buyers in most categories check you before they call. Regulator listings, credentials, review platforms and what an assistant says about you all sit in that path, which makes entity and reputation work more commercially relevant here than in a market where people just phone.

Local presence signals. Where you have a Saudi entity or address, saying so properly and consistently matters. Where you do not, we will not fabricate one, and there are markets where that is a genuine disadvantage worth discussing before you engage anyone.

AI answers in Saudi Arabia

This is where the thin Arabic record hurts most. Ask an assistant a category question in Arabic and it draws on a much smaller source pool than the English equivalent, so it leans on whatever exists, and often on training memory rather than retrieval. That is covered on our Arabic AI search page, and in this market it is not a future problem.

How we start in Riyadh

  1. Market read

    Weeks 1 to 2

    • Your head terms run in both languages, with the two SERPs compared side by side
    • Gulf Arabic query research, kept separate from Egyptian and Levantine lists
    • Which competitors appear in Arabic that you have never heard of
    • Whether you have a Saudi entity or address, and what follows from that
  2. Baseline

    Weeks 2 to 4

    • Rankings baselined per language rather than pooled
    • AI answers captured in Arabic and English, stored and dated
    • Regulator, directory and review platform entries checked for accuracy
    • Entity record checked across transliterations and Arabic-script forms
  3. Build

    Weeks 4 onward

    • Arabic content in Gulf Arabic, written rather than translated
    • Entity and credential signals settled where verification matters
    • Review platform profiles completed in Arabic, which most are not
    • Local profile work where you have a physical presence
  4. Reporting

    Monthly

    • Leads and qualified inquiries, split by language
    • Arabic and English rankings reported separately
    • AI answer changes tracked per engine, per language
    • In the portal, with the Saudi market on its own view

When we first partnered with VOCTOS, our clinic had just two physicians and one night doctor, with everyone juggling several roles. We've grown a lot since then, today we have three physicians, a full-time secretary, and dedicated cleaning staff, largely thanks to the steady flow of new patients their marketing brought in.

The Saudi engagement, in numbers

What one Saudi programme produced

Delta Medical Labs is a healthcare engagement in Saudi Arabia. Healthcare is the most trust-sensitive category there is, which is why we point at it here rather than at something easier.

  • 1M+monthly organic trafficDelta Medical Labs, July 2026

What we inherit

Three mistakes we find on almost every Saudi site

These repeat often enough to be worth naming before you brief anyone, including us.

One Arabic version serving the whole Gulf

Why it happens

It looks efficient on a budget line. Egyptian, Gulf and Levantine Arabic diverge in exactly the commercial words buyers type.

The fix

Separate keyword sets per market. Shared content stays shared, commercial pages get split.

Arabic pages canonicalised to the English ones

Why it happens

Usually a plugin default nobody revisited. It tells Google to ignore the Arabic version entirely, and it is invisible in normal reporting.

The fix

Reciprocal hreflang pairs and self-referencing canonicals, checked per template rather than sampled.

Credentials that were true three years ago

Why it happens

Registers, directories and hospital pages update late. Engines treat them as authoritative anyway.

The fix

Correct the register and directory entries first, then make the current fact unambiguous and dated on a page engines can reach.

Questions about working in Riyadh

We work from Cairo and serve Saudi clients from there. We will not claim a Riyadh address we do not have. If a local entity is a procurement requirement for you, tell us early and we will be straight about whether we fit.

Yes, and we keep it separate from Egyptian Arabic. The commercial terms differ and using the wrong ones is visible to a native reader and costly in rankings.

The Arabic SERP. It is thinner than the English one in a market this size, which is an unusual combination. Most competitors are fighting over the English results.

Al Hokail Medical Group, published in full. Healthcare in Saudi Arabia is about as trust-sensitive as this work gets.

More than in English-first markets, because the Arabic source pool is thinner and each source carries more weight. One stale directory entry can shape an entire answer.
